Visit Cornwall’s Regimental Museum this October half term. Based in The Keep at Bodmin, the historic barracks to Cornwall’s regiments, we are a great family attraction come rain or shine!
The Keep will be open every day between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, with family activities throughout the week, including:
Arts and Crafts Fun Make & Take Sessions
Special Gun Handling Sessions (suitable for children and adults, please check times and availability here)
Military Dressing Up
Our Fun Trail and Quiz
The Chance to Play the Bugle and drum!
As well as visiting the museum – which tells the story of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, the Cornish Militia and Volunteers, and The Light Infantry – visitors can also explore ‘The Keep’, our Victorian Barracks and former home of the DCLI, including our cold war era military police cell.
Young visitors (and older ones too!) can use our art cart and special craft supplies to create their own fun military medals, and can show off their creations by sharing photos to our social media pages for a chance to be featured!
Dogs are welcome, and we have limited free parking at the rear of the museum.
