Christmas Holidays – Activities at Cornwall’s Regimental Museum

Cornwall's Regimental Museum in the Snow

Start date: December 21, 2017

End date: January 3, 2018

Come and visit Cornwall’s Regimental Museum during the Christmas Holidays. Based in The Keep at Bodmin, the historic barracks to Cornwall’s regiments, we are a wonderful family attraction all year round.

During the Christmas holidays you can enjoy –

Arts and Crafts Fun Make & Take Sessions

Military Dressing Up

Our Fun Trail and Quiz

The chance to Play the Bugle and drum!

As well as visiting the museum – which tells the story of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, the Cornish Militia and Volunteers, and The Light Infantry – visitors can also explore ‘The Keep’, our Victorian Barracks and former home of the DCLI, including our cold war era military police cell.

Young visitors (and older ones too!) can use our art cart and special craft supplies to create their own fun military medals, and can show off their creations by sharing photos to our social media pages for a chance to be featured!

Dogs are welcome, and we have limited free parking at the rear of the museum.

Please note our Christmas opening hours:

The museum will be closed between Saturday the 23rd and Thursday the 28th of December.

We will be open from Friday the 29th December, to Sunday the 7th of January.

Our usual winter opening hours resume from Sunday the 7th of January: Open Wed-Sun, 10:00-16:30. Closed Mon & Tues.
